Created at the request of many of Montreal’s economic and tourist-trade representatives with the idea of boosting the winter tourist season and economic activity in the downtown area, the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival is a private non-profit corporation whose mission is to create, organize and promote a festival-type event of international scope.

Its Board of Directors consists of 16 members. In addition to the president and general manager, Michel Labrecque, it brings together five representatives of Montreal’s cultural milieu as well as five important players in tourism and business. Five representatives of L’Équipe Spectra, overseer and designer of the project, complete the Board, which is presided over by the event’s founder, Alain Simard.
