NUIT BLANCHE À MONTRÉAL 2014

La Nuit blanche à Montréal 2014

2014 PROGRAM REVIEW

The 11th Nuit blanche à Montréal presented by Hydro-Québec offered a record amount of activities this year—over 200, most of them free. After a joyous kickoff on the outdoor site, the Night spread out over 3 quartiers and 2 pôles, including the new Pôle Ligne Bleue, linked by a free shuttle service and the Métro, which remained open all night thanks to the special collaboration of the STM. Among the places and activities marking a night of perfect weather, let’s spotlight UQAM and all of its activities, the Monument-National, for its electrifying energy; City Hall, showing its playful side; the Gesù with its urban rites and unique and spellbinding ambience; MUTEK, for keeping the beats going until morning; Galerie Monastiraki for its friendly and creative character; Studio Tango for its tango classes; Café Santropol and its invigorating array of artists; Excentris for its impressive video games and Espace musique in Métropolis for its musical eclecticism. In its first incarnation, the Pôle Ligne Bleue earned its stripes from east to west, from Cinéma Beaubien to Mosaikashop to Saint Joseph’s Oratory. And the Pôle Parc Olympique was no exception, with its own array of activities!
