Stephan Berrouet Durand is executive chef at Plaza Hotel in Port-au-Prince and also handles chef duties for special events held by Parc historique de la canne à sucre. The president and cofounder of the Miami-based Haitian Culinary Alliance, he is frequently invited by Haiti Tourism to promote his country in various Haitian and American culinary events. He also enjoys a strong presence at the Taste and Flavours Lakay festival, which spotlights Creole cuisine.
